DoD Other Transaction Authorities (OTA) and the new Tradewind AI OTA

Hybrid Collider – In-Person and Virtually

Afternoon session on the DoD OTA process and the newly established Tradewind OTA Consortium with the JAIC and IN3

Currently this event will be a Hybrid Event – In-Person at WBI – 444 and Virtual – but this could change to solely Virtually due to C19. The SB Hub will let everyone know as we get closer to the event date.

The Wright Brothers Institute Small Business Hub is pleased to provide an Other Transaction Authority (OTA) Collider event in partnership with the Indiana Innovation Institute (IN3) the operator of the Tradewind OTA and the Joint Artificial Intelligence Center (JAIC) on September 16, 2021 from 1:30pm-4:00pm (EST) at the WBI – 444 facility. Much has been said, written, and heard about OTAs but many remain either confused or unaware of what they are, who can use them, or how they should be used.

Join our presenter, Will Roberts, JAIC Chief of Contracts as he provides a background about OTAs, the impact of the Federal Acquisition Regulations on OTAs, how consortium OTA models work, and compares the JAIC’s Tradewind OTA to others!

Learn how the Tradewind OTA replaces the DoD’s current cumbersome acquisition model, making the process more collaborative, research-based and effective. From AI conception to implementation, Tradewind is changing the culture of AI adoption and how success is measured within the DoD.

Topics that will be discussed:

– Brief OTA history

– FAR vs. Non-FAR

– Types of OTAs

– NDAA references

– How the Consortium Model works

– Pros and Cons

– Tradewind OTA vs. the others

– Open Question and Answer

Tradewind discussion offerings:

– Cutting edge AI companies

– DoD decision makers with funding

– Comprehensive warfighter needs

– Timely relevant contracting advice.

Through this Collider you will learn how Tradewind can help add this to your business acquisition strategy…your team won’t want to miss this event.

If event is in-person (currently, things could change) and there will be a Networking event at the Dayton Beer Company which is within walking distance to the 444 facility.
